NOTES TO BAND - nothing
new for you to play, but the
structure has been shuffled a little to better align with the
way Grace sings this song:
(1) No 2/4 bars. Melody now starts on beat 3. Review rhythm
at letter "A" / letter "D".
(2) Trumpet/Flugelhorn solo countermelody is now in verse 2
instead of verse 3. (Note that it, too, starts 2 beats later
than it used to.)
(3) Sax & Trombone now sit out verses 1 & 2
(4) Horn parts that used to be in verse 2 are now in verse 3.
(5) Horn parts for 3rd chorus (letter "F") are unchanged
NOTES TO CHOIR - since nobody seemed to remember what notes they used to sing, I had to come up with new choir parts. The overall structure is as it was - choir enters on "ooh" on 2nd verse, then switches to words to sing 2nd chorus and 3rd verse and chorus. I tried to keep all four parts very simple. Thanks to Cathy for singing the soprano part.
